$500 Stampede Guitar Challenge * Saturday * July 18, 2009 Join us at the Fairgrounds for the Free Stampede Music Fest featuring The Thrill Billies. Is there a couple who think they can dance as fast as Larry Park can play the guitar? Adding tremendous excitement to the Stampede will be the Basin State Bank/Guitars of Montana Guitar Challenge. Larry Park, member of the Thrill Billies Band, was named by "Guitar World" magazine as one of the 50 fastest guitar pickers in the nation. A couple will be selected from a pool of applicants to dance for 3 minutes as Park plays the guitar. A qualified panel of judges will award up to $500 to the lucky couple, pending their performance. Quick Draw, Music Fest, BBQ, Wild Cow Milking Calcutta, VIP Tent Auction & Street Dance * Saturday * July 18, 2009 On Saturday at 3:00 p.m., join us at the Fairgrounds for the Free Stampede Music Fest featuring The Thrill Billies. Beginning at 4:00 p.m., the Kid's Stickhorse event with Miss Rodeo Montana is sure to get the young ones primed for the rest of the weekends events, as the Western BBQ then follows at 5:00 p.m. with the Quick Draw Art Auction beginning at 5:30 p.m. Then get ready to roll up your sleeves and wave your hand and bid on a team for the Wild Cow Milking Calcutta which gets lively right at 7:00 p.m., followed immediately by the Third Annual VIP Tent Auction. Kick up your heels during the Street Dance which begins in Downtown Stanford at 9:00 p.m. |
