On Your Mark...
In the Rodeo world "half-time" is intermission and intermission is the Businessman's Wild Cow Milking Contest. Here is how it works: The Wild Cow Milking Calcutta takes place on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. where local citizens of the area communities buy teams. The teams consist of men, and sometimes women, who are dedicated to supporting the community. They are all in hopes of not getting their backsides "snotted" on, while wrestling a herd of local cows. Folks who purchase a team are dedicated to supporting the community, too; except these folks know they won't get "snotted" on. However, they may possibly have a smaller or fatter wallet, depending on which team gets the first drop of milk in a very small bottle and the halter back to the holding area. The CMR Stampede Club donates proceeds from the Wild Milking Contest back to communities throughout Judith Basin County. Are you ready?
